Albert loren was born in 1945 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since 1995 he lives with his wife in the forest region of southern Sweden. After High School he made up his mind to spend a couple of years exploring the world as a sailor. The study of human nature soon became his favorite pastime and life's theater has fascinated him ever since. His idea of having a good time is sipping wine at an open-air cafe, watching people passing by.
He learned commercial art and worked for shipping companies, making broschures, ads and drawings for merchant navy televison instruction films. He also took on assignments as a photographer.
The computer era changed his life. The diagrams and maps he had made with his drawing pen suddenly could be clicked up and altered in numerous ways by anyone - buildings and ships were as easily manipulated by skilled operators.
So he started writing, an old dream of his. He completed the first two books in the series with the optimistic private investigators Freddy and Robin, sent them to publishers in Great Britain and luckily had both manuscripts accepted by Janus Books in London. Another two were published during 2002. A Fatal Similarity is the first in the series but each book stands alone.
